The Señorio de Montanera Iberian salchichon is made with lean ham and shoulder cuts and other carefully selected lean extras from 100% acorn-fed Iberian pigs. Both ground black pepper and whole peppercorns, as well as grated nutmeg, stand out in the seasoning.

The proportions of the different ingredients were chosen from the best traditional artisan-cured meats in local slaughtering traditions, and kept as one of the main treasures of Señorio de Montanera.

When sliced, the Iberian salchichon has a very deep purple-red colour, dotted with reddish white. Its exquisiteness and artisanal production give it a fresh aroma of curing and a mixture of specific nuances of the spices used. Its traditional flavour is reminiscent of slaughtering done in the best household abattoirs in Extremadura.
